The high elevation means it is usually delightful weather in the summer, no need for air conditioning. A cozy, secluded, contemporary cabin nestled between the Boulder Mountains and Capitol Reef National park where the quiet can be deafening. This high-desert oasis is rustic and eclectic, with wood interior and a wood burning stove. A cozy, yet roomy feel with an open floor plan has a cozy fireplace and an open kitchen. It offers two unique bedrooms each individually decorated with custom furnishings. It sleeps up to 6 people – 2 queen beds (one queen in master bedroom and one queen murphy bed in common area for extra guests) and two single beds in bedroom number 2. The beds, mattresses and linens are of high quality for a good night’s sleep. A large-screen TV in the living room with movies provided. There is an additional of $25/guest over 4 guests, per night. The house is 750 square feet. It does not have air conditioning, but each room has a ceiling fan. At 7100 feet elevation it usually cools down quite nicely. There are electric heaters in each room and a fire place in the living room. We do have wifi. A small coffee machine is provided and there are a limited number of cooking necessities. There is a cook stove, microwave and refrigerator. Pets are ok if they don't shed or sleep on the beds, but don't tell my wife. Please be considerate of our place and clean up after them. This is a very diverse, rural area. The main grocery store is 17 miles away in Loa, UT. In the summer in Torrey, from April thru October, there is "The Chuck Wagon" open every day, where you can get necessities, basic foods. There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Bicknell about 6 miles away - again not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though. GUEST ACCESS In most cases, our vacation home will require a self-check in. You will be given a code for entrance prior to your arrival. There are friendly residents close by for any questions or emergencies but the cabin has a private setting with quiet solitude. We don’t live on site at this property. This is the vacation home of two artists based in Florida who hope you find the same calm and relaxation in this place that they do. Beautifully managed for us by Kathy Benson.

A rustic 2 story cottage on 7.75 acres, air conditioned. The cottage reflects the finest design, materials, attention to detail and craftsmanship available. This is much more than a place to stay, it offers a unique, always to remember experience. The cottage is sculpted into bedrock amongst pinion pines and old growth mountain mahogany brush. A picturesque erosion sculpted sandstone monolith rises four stories at the edge of yard, just beyond the cottage. The approach to the cottage, from Teasdale Road, is down a short lane crossing through a woodland fringed meadow with wetland on one side and alfalfa cultivation on the other. The backdrop is a beautiful rock formation, including a large balanced rock. There are multiple diverse micro niches as well as expansive views to the horizon and beyond. The property has the character of a small park of natural wonders. Located on the east edge of Teasdale, 5 miles from Torrey and 8 miles further to Capital Reef National Park. Highway 12 the "All American Highway" AND designated as on of the "10 most beautiful highways in the world", is only 5 miles away. It has Capitol Reef one one end and Bryce Canyon on the other, a magnificent drive.

Lilac Cottage Description Lilac Cottage is a wonderful cottage in Bicknell, UT. Capital Reef National Park is 20 minutes away along gorgeous Highway 24. This home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a brand new kitchen and bathroom easily accessible to all guests. The second bedroom and bathroom is a more private suite addition with doors to the outside. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking pots, pan, utensils, BBQ grill utensils, dishwasher and food containers. There is an outside propane grill. The pantry has lots of storage and a washer and dryer. Detergent is supplied. The cottage has a king size bed and a queen size bed to accommodate 4 guests. The couch can sleep one adult or two small children. All linens are supplied. The yard is large and has lots of private areas. Even a hammock! There is a lovely covered back porch on which to relax and take in the view of Bicknell Bottoms and Boulder Mountain. There are yard games available which are shared with The Little House, ID # 4507406, another guest rental on the property. The Little House can also be rented for additional guests if you are looking for a family reunion spot. Please Note: there is no air conditioning, however, after living in this home for a year during one of the hottest Summers, I found I never needed it. It is well insulated with large shade trees. Temperatures cool down to 45-55 at night, cooling things down to maintain a pleasant temperature.

This cozy cottage is a wonderful base if you’re planning to explore Southern Utah. To start, Capital Reef Park and all its glory is just 12 miles away. The Little House is a stand-alone cottage, refurbished in 2017, with a studio style space. There are roomy full size bunk beds, a couch, table, chairs and more. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave/convection oven combo, hot plate, coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster, blender. The efficient bathroom has a shower. The outside porch has a table and chairs. We have lawn games including Cornhole and lighted ladders! ***Off street parking is available and required by the city's ordinance. The Sweetgrass Studio a 1000 sq foot retreat 12 miles from Capitol Reef National Park + 22 NP/SP/Museums within a 3.5 hr drive. It's located above a Coffee House and Gallery. The SG Studio building was built in 1873 as a mercantile, turned dance hall & school in the early 1900s. In 2005 restoration began, honoring the original historical period. All interior walls, floors & doors were constructed by a master woodworker & former owner. Wayne County is where to shorten your bucket list. The space The apartment is upstairs. Is is accessed by a staircase inside the front door. Because of its age, the second floor is not handicap accessible. The space has an open floor plan with kitchen, living and dining in a common area, and a loft. The ceiling is high and at its perimeter, angles with the pitch of the roof. The window sills are exceptionally deep due to the structure of the old stone buildings’ walls which are almost 18” thick. This all adds up to be a very dramatic and interesting space! The views are both of the town of Bicknell and the gorgeous landscapes. There is one private bedroom with a queen bed, ample closet and chest of drawers. Extra guests can be accommodated on the queen size sofa bed. There is one large bathroom with plenty of storage, a long cast-iron tub with shower. There is a generous sized loft above the bathroom. The loft is an interesting nook overlooking the apartment. It has 2 Twin XL mattresses and bedding. It is accessed by a ladder. You can find this in the pictures. The kitchen is fully equipped with the typical amenities. You could comfortably cook here over any length of stay. The sink is incorporated into an island with bar seating for casual eating. The dining table will seat 6. The island bar will seat 3. Guest access Guests have access to the front entry and hall with laundry facility. The entire second floor is the dedicated apartment space. The building has a retail space and a large space in the rear which are private. Also there is a deck on the back of the building facing south that is not for guest use. It is private. Thank you. Theater House is a 100 year old home that has been totally renovated and remodeled in 2017. It is located in the middle of town next to the Bicknell Theater. There are two private bedrooms with queen beds and a gorgeous bathroom with plenty of storage and a glassed wall shower. The South bedroom is smaller but comfortable with a large closet. A chest of drawers is located inside the closet. The views from the windows are wonderful. The North bedroom is larger with French doors leading to the back patio. It also has a large closet with chest of drawers inside. A convenient mudroom is located at the back entry with full size washer and dryer, coat racks and bench along with a handy folding area. The kitchen is brand new with lots of storage, amenities, pots and pans, oven cookware, utensils, glassware, dishwasher, garbage disposal, oven, cooktop and refrigerator. The kitchen looks out into the dining and living room areas. The dining room seats 6. The living room is cozily situated around an electric fireplace and TV. Again, gorgeous views from the windows. The back porch is ready for a party or relaxation. Tables, chairs and more grace this wonderful space located on the shady side of Theater House. ***City ordinance requires off street parking. There is plenty of room on the North side for parking. Entrance is behind The Bicknell Theater via a gravel easement. We have installed artificial turf to cut down on water and maintenance use. We have installed a permanent croquet court for your use - it is ready to go at any time. A horse shoe court has also been installed. The bike loop was the last 2 laps of Tour of Utah stage in 2016. Torrey has both seasonal and year-round restaurants within 2 miles. Good pizza, burgers, southwestern food all within a quick drive. Boulder offers the perfect location for your vacation in Capitol Reef National Park, Escalante area and Brice National Park. Located in Boulder, on Utah-12 is Anasazi Indian Village State Park. This site offers an excavated Anasazi village and a museum. Our house is charming, personal, and welcoming home that makes its visitors feel like they are guests in a very special place. You will have the time of your life on this vacation. House is located in Escalante National Monument area off the scenic highway 12 on Burr Trail. It is only 36 miles from Capitol Reef National Park and 23 miles from Hole-in-the-Rock Road. Hole-in-the-Rock Road is on the south edge of Boulder Mountain and cuts through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. It provides access to an amazing canyon network and some of the best slot hikes to be found on earth. Hiking, backpacking, biking and horseback riding are favorite activities in this area. The road also features Devil's Garden which is an Outstanding Natural Area with easy hiking. There is also Zebra slot canyon, often photographed for its amazing pink strips. The main canyon, called Coyote Gulch, offers towering high walls and superb narrows. Dry Fork Canyon is a major tributary to Coyote Gulch and serves as a corridor into this scenic area. The Dry Fork Trailhead is a beautiful, narrow canyon that offers several miles of hiking opportunity. Peek-A-Boo Gulch is a beautifully sculptured slot that runs for about half a mile to a wide, sandy wash. Spooky Gulch is the next opening as you hike down Dry Fork. It offers a great slot canyon hike through beautifully eroded Navajo sandstone. The canyon is deep and it constantly twists and bends, creating the eerie and haunting nature captured in its name. Spooky is the narrowest slot normal-sized adults can get through. Our house has 2 levels with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a king bed with the attached bathroom in the master suite upstairs and a queen bed with the guest bathroom in the second bedroom downstairs. Downstairs bedroom also has a pull out sofa. The second sleeper sofa is located in our TV room downstairs. Please note, there is no TV service or cable available. Guests are treated to all of the amenities they might need. Yes, we do have AC. Living room upstairs has sitting area with DVD library and variety of games and books. Dining area and the kitchen are adjacent to the living room. Entire upstairs level is wrapped around with our specious deck. Enjoy the views while preparing your meals on the grill. Our house is perfectly suited for peaceful reflection on the day’s adventures: from fishing, biking, horse-back riding and hiking in beautiful Utah’s country. Enjoy the perfect get-away cabin overlooking the stunningly beautiful sandstone buttes and canyons of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument between Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park. It is located just 2 miles from the quaint town of Boulder off the scenic Burr Trail road. The cabin exudes a warm feel and features post and beam construction with natural pine interior walls and tile floor. The floor plan includes an open kitchen/living/dining area where large windows take your eye to a mesmerizing view of slick rock canyons and Navajo Mountain in the distance. One bedroom is on the first floor with a queen size bed and is adjacent to the bath that includes a sandstone shower. Upstairs is a large open loft, split into two additional bedrooms with one queen and one full size bed. The beds are all very comfortable with high quality futon mattresses. Early risers may be greeted by a herd of mule deer grazing around the cabin followed by an incredible illumination of Durfee Mesa and Sugarloaf Butte as the sun hits their crème-colored sandstone flanks. You may want to spend many hours on the deck taking in the view and the peaceful quiet. While staying here, you will have access to some of the finest hiking in Southern Utah. There are a myriad of hikes close by in the Escalante canyons. Or, you can take the spectacular drive down the Burr Trail to Capitol Reef National Park. Contemporary Torrey vacation home with two private master suites on either end of a spacious great room, including a full kitchen. Huge windows line the angled front of the house, with a covered deck to enjoy the magnificent views of Torrey, the ever-changing face of Thousand Lake Mountain and the red sandstone cliffs of Velvet Ridge.
